Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s paternity situation remains uncertain, but it looks like answers won’t come until after her baby is born. TMZ has learned that Gypsy’s ex, Ryan Anderson, has decided to wait on taking a DNA test.
According to sources close to Ryan, both he and Gypsy plan to hold off on testing until after the baby girl is born, as it’s easier and more cost-effective. A paternity test before birth can range from $500 to $2,000, while a post-birth test is significantly cheaper, costing between $150 and $200.
Although Gypsy Rose has previously claimed that her fiancé, Ken Urker, is the father, fans have raised doubts about the pregnancy timeline. Louisiana law adds another layer of complexity: if Gypsy gives birth before her divorce from Ryan is finalized, Ryan will automatically be listed as the father on the birth certificate. The only way to change that would be through a paternity test proving Ken is the biological father.
This scenario is reminiscent of Kim Kardashian’s situation when she was pregnant with North West while still legally married to Kris Humphries. Kim and Kris finalized their divorce just weeks before North was born, allowing Kanye West to be listed as the father without any legal complications.
Despite the uncertainty, Gypsy Rose remains confident, even sharing a detailed timeline on social media to back up her claim that Ken is indeed the father.
For now, it seems everyone involved is content to wait for the baby’s arrival before settling the paternity question once and for all.
