Juicy J Reveals He Makes Money Off 90% of New Rap Songs: ‘Everybody’s Sampling Three 6 Mafia’ [Video]

Juicy J’s legacy is solidified as one of rap’s legends, and he’s not afraid to brag about it.

In a recent Spring Hill interview with Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J reflected on his monumental impact, revealing he makes money from nearly 90% of new rap songs.

He pointed out that today’s trends are just rehashes of the old, saying, “Everybody’s sampling Three 6 Mafia, so I’m already in.”

Juicy J also claimed that he gets 5 to 6 sample clearance requests a day from up-and-coming artists. “On some real sh*t,” he told Wiz, “I get paid off of pretty much every song. Like 90% of the songs that’s out right now.”

He says he sees it as a blessing and encourages younger artists to keep sampling his work. “I love when people sample,” he said. “I just keep doing what I’ve been doing.”

Clearly, Juicy J’s influence is still going strong, and he’s happy that Three 6 Mafia’s music is shaping the new wave of rap.
