Cardi B isn’t here for the drama after the Barbz accused her of shading Nicki Minaj with her maternity photoshoot.
Fans pointed out that in one of the photos, the word ‘pedophile’ was spray-painted on the wall behind Cardi, and social media users wasted no time attempting to make a connection, considering Minaj’s husband and brother both faced sexual assault charges involving minors.
With the history between Cardi and Nicki, it didn’t take long for things to blow up. But Cardi wasn’t having it.
She quickly clapped back on X, shutting down the rumors and calling out the Barbz for jumping to conclusions. “First of all, we literally picked a random street because paparazzi was hounding us everywhere,” she explained. “This was supposed to be my original first picture, and we had to edit the photos in minutes because the shoot got leaked.”
“I’m ALWAYS with the shits,” Cardi added, “but I’m not using MY MATERNITY shoot to be funny. Are you dumb??”
When another user tried to call BS on her explanation, Cardi wasn’t about to let that slide either.
She cleared it up, saying her makeup artist touched up the picture because there was no time for a full edit. “If I wanted to be petty, I would’ve posted a lot of memes last week,” she warned. “I KEEP TELLIN YALL TO LEAVE ME THE FUK ALONE!! If I’m saying I’m not on that time, DONT MAKE ME GET ON THAT TIME. Unrist yourself!!”
