In an unfortunate mistake, a photo of one of the victims was mistakenly posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) and was presented in a way that led some to believe the victim was actually the shooter.
The post was quickly taken down after the station was made aware of the mix-up, but not before it spread confusion online. This led WSB-TV to issue an immediate public apology. “We deeply regret this error and sincerely apologize to the victim’s family and loved ones,” the station said in a statement.
