The Revels Group (RVG), in collaboration with The Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC), Amazon Music, and for the first time, Live Nation, has announced the third annual BLACK: Future. Now. Brunch, which is set to take place on Sunday, September 15th. This highly anticipated celebration highlights the future of Black excellence in music, culture, and leadership.

This year’s event will also see the support of Elliot Grainge’s 10k Projects and Spirit Music Group as partners, with Lobos 1707 Tequila providing libations for the attendees. Launched in 2022 by The Revels Group Co-founder and CEO Jamil Davis, BLACK: Future. Now. continues to bring together a diverse mix of creatives, executives, and thought leaders who are shaping the industry’s future.

“We’re super excited to be kicking off BMAC week by celebrating the future and now of Black excellence,” said Jamil Davis. “When I started BFN and the Brunch, my mission was to bring together a diverse room to highlight the creatives, executives, and thought leaders of tomorrow that are having breakout years, or typically don’t get as much shine. It’s beautiful and has grown each year. I’m ready to have an incredible time!”

Davis also expressed his excitement about honoring this year’s awardees, stating, “I’m thrilled to honor our 2024 class of BFN awardees, including my dear friend, the incomparable, Jhené Aiko.”

Live Nation, a first-time partner for the event, is looking forward to the celebration as well. “I admire Jamil’s ability to bring such an eclectic group of people together, and The Revels Group’s continued mission to celebrate and empower the next generation of artists, creators, and executives. It will be a great time,” commented Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino.

Phylicia Fant of Amazon Music praised Davis for his leadership and vision, saying, “Jamil Davis is an industry leader who seamlessly bridges creative and executive voices. Amazon Music is dedicated to empowering the next generation and supporting diverse spaces. We value our work with Jamil and his vision for an inclusive future.”

Elliot Grainge, Founder and CEO of 10k Projects, also recognized the significance of the event and its impact on the industry. “10K Projects supports and acknowledges all of the important work that The Revels Group’s BLACK: Future. Now. has done to mentor and champion the future leaders of our business,” he said. Grainge also congratulated Blake Brown-Grakal on being named Attorney of the Year by BLACK: Future. Now., highlighting his contributions to 10K’s success.

Blake Brown-Grakal, General Counsel at 10K Projects, is recognized for his trailblazing work as one of the youngest Black legal executives in the music industry, especially for his role in negotiating a historic partnership with Warner Music Group.

Ben Schecter, Head of Partnerships at The Revels Group, emphasized the significance of BLACK: Future. Now. as their most impactful program. “We’re proud to continue our mission of empowering creatives and inspiring feel. On our annual Sunday in September, there’s nowhere I’d rather be,” said Schecter.

The BLACK: Future. Now. Brunch not only brings together some of the most influential figures in the industry but also serves as the official kickoff to BMAC Gala Week. This year, the Gala will take place on Thursday, September 19th, honoring legendary figures such as Usher and LL Cool J.
