Celebrity stylist Law Roach is speaking out after people believed he and Naomi Campbell were shading Rihanna.
The alleged issues started when Rihanna apparently didn’t speak to Campbell at the Alaïa runway show during New York Fashion Week. Rih was captured on camera greeting former British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enningful as Campbell sat nearby. After the singer was done exchanging words with him, she seemingly breezed by the supermodel in a move that many believe was intentional.
After this moment, Roach and Campbell recorded a video, hopping on the “demure” trend, which people thought was directed at the “Anti” star.
“We don’t go to the shows like the other girls. We don’t come with our ta-tas out,” Roach stated. Campbell followed up with, “It’s not about showing yourself, it’s about showing the clothes.”
Ironically, Rih wore a custom crystal gown designed by Alaïa that was slightly sheer, leading many to believe that Campbell was specifically taking a dig in the video with Roach. The chatter grew so loud on social media that the fashion expert was forced to address the matter, putting to bed any issues with the performer.
“What’s so funny to me is that in this universe of the internet and social media that ya’ll live in, ya’ll always think something has to be something. But something ain’t always something. Sometimes something is just nothing,” he stated.
Rih hasn’t spoken on the matter, likely choosing to ignore the discussion. Campbell has also remained mute on the subject.
“You know what? Ya’ll need to get some business,” he added toward the end of his video.
