Chingy became a trending topic on Friday when he was announced as a performer at the Log Cabin Republican event. The organization represents LGBT conservatives.
The “Right Thurr” rapper appeared on a flyer for the Red White & Rock event in Nashville, Tennessee. Donald Trump Jr. and his partner Kimberly Guilfoyle are also on the flyer, along with other MAGA supporters. The odd booking sparked outrage from social media, who accused Chingy of being pro-Trump. The event is scheduled for September 29th, though the rally was ironically announced on the same day that the rapper detailed his plans for “Chingy Day” in his hometown, which is celebrated on September 14th.
Some people online accused him of having money problems. Meanwhile, others claimed Republicans could not get any currently popular artists to perform. Chingy has not responded to the backlash despite his fans having much to say.
