The rumors are true!
7UP is bringing a new twist to a classic mocktail. Starting October 15, the limited-edition 7UP Shirley Temple soda will be available in stores across the U.S. through December 31.
The pomegranate and cherry-flavored drink, inspired by the nostalgic Shirley Temple mocktail, will be sold in 12-oz. cans and 2-liter bottles, with a Zero Sugar option available in 12-oz. cans.
The news comes after online speculation from Reddit and popular snack-focused Instagram accounts, which was confirmed by 7UP on September 27. Shirley Temple drinks, often made with lemon-lime soda, grenadine, and maraschino cherries, have been childhood favorites for decades. However, the drink has recently seen a resurgence, with the boozy “Dirty Shirley” gaining popularity.
While many remember Shirley Temples as a non-alcoholic treat, Keurig Dr Pepper, the company behind 7UP, is also suggesting adults try mixing the soda with vodka for a modern spin on the classic.
