It appears that Nicki Minaj is throwing shade at those who have accused her husband of not being able to attend a park due to his sex offender status.
The rapper shared a photo of her and Kenneth Petty posing at what appears to be an indoor playground. The couple was celebrating their son’s fourth birthday.
“They used to be giving yall the #fakenews so loud & proud I thought a brain vessel was gon pop. You’d have to have a brain for that tho,” she wrote on the photo.
A common talking point has been Petty’s ability to be around children following his past rape case. Cardi B famously tweeted in December 2023, “Take your man to a park and leave me the f**k alone,” in a Twitter battle with Minaj.
Petty was convicted of sexual assault in 1995 at age 16 and served time in prison. This situation landed him on the sex offender list, and his attempts to be removed have been blocked. Last year, he was sentenced to probation last year for failing to register in California when the couple relocated to the state. A petition was even started by people in their area trying to stop him from being able to live in their Hidden Hills community. His accuser, Jennifer Hough, has been vocal about the situation, even accusing Minaj of trying to bribe her into recanting her story.
