Memphis star Project Pat, responsible for timeless classics such as “Chickenhead” and “Don’t Save Her,” is now a pastor.
The rapper, through his ministry non-profits, Breakin Baggs and GoFoundation, has been traveling to prisons, churches, and community centers, preaching the word of God and messages of positivity. While the musician is exploring a different calling, his music is never too far from his heart, as he is still releasing tracks and features.
While many fans are just now catching wind of his spiritual and motivational speaking endeavors, Pat has been working on this initiative for quite some time. His Breakin Baggs Instagram account, which highlights his prison ministry, has over 53,000 followers. After images of him speaking at Keiser Chapel Church in Arkansas went viral, Pat shared a post about what his nonprofit is all about.
“Breakin- Baggs is Holy Spirit led non-profit that is promoting the goodness of GOD. We go to prisons with @gofoundation9. We go in the neighborhoods. We go all over the globe. To this day, over 15,000 saved,” he wrote in a post, ending it by telling people how they can donate.
After learning of this transformation, Pat fans, who have long supported his contributions to Southern hip-hop, are now rallying behind his newfound mission.
