G League basketball player RJ Hampton is facing backlash after a video surfaced of a tense argument between him and his ex-girlfriend, influencer Tiffany Jeffcoat. The clip, shared by Jeffcoat on her TikTok account, also includes accusations of verbal and physical abuse against Hampton, who was a 2020 first-round NBA draft pick.
In the video, filmed at a hotel, the former couple is seen arguing while their young son, Halo, is nearby. Hampton is heard telling Jeffcoat, “Shut the f*** up talking to me, b****. I don’t care if you have me on recording.”
Jeffcoat claims in the video that Hampton has previously physically abused her, stating, “I have pictures of it.” Hampton responds to the allegations, saying, “Who the f*** is going to care about that… they’re bruises.”
The exchange escalates further when Hampton tells Jeffcoat, “I don’t care if your mom is dead or alive, shut up.”
In another clip, Jeffcoat tearfully claims that Hampton took their son without telling her where he was going, leaving her stranded in Oklahoma. She contacted the police for assistance after Hampton allegedly left without key items for their child, like a pacifier or blankets. In a third video, she shared that she had been waiting in a hotel lobby for hours and Hampton still had not returned with their son. She also expressed concerns about whether Halo had eaten dinner.
However, on Tuesday, Jeffcoat shared an IG story of baby Halo back under her supervision, asleep. She also thanked all those who reached out to her.
The TikToks sparked concern on social media, with many users criticizing Hampton’s behavior. The former NBA prospect, who now plays for the Delaware Blue Coats, the G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, has yet to make a public statement regarding the accusations.
