Cardi B Turns 32 Today and This Superstar Is Just Getting Started

From Instagram Lives to becoming one of hip-hop’s biggest stars, Cardi B has blossomed and is only getting better. 

The rapper turned 32 today and has already taken the music world by storm, captivating audiences with her transparent nature and gritty bars straight from the streets of New York.  From her humble beginnings documenting her day-to-day happenings on social media to becoming the star of “Love & Hip-Hop New York,” Cardi’s journey is nothing short of inspiring.  One of her most significant career accomplishments came with her debut album, “Invasion of Privacy,” released in 2018, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified four times platinum.  The project earned her a Grammy for Best Rap Album.

Cardi’s smash hit “Bodak Yellow” not only served as the album’s lead single but also catapulted her into the spotlight, becoming an anthem.  The single is now certified diamond, making Cardi the first female rapper to achieve this. 

Beyond her music, Cardi B has become a fashion icon, known for being a standout at fashion shows, wearing some of the finest brands such as Mugler and Chanel.  Additionally, Belcalis frequently uses her platform to address social issues, including voting, inflation, unemployment, and more.  In 2020, she famously interviewed President Joe Biden ahead of the election, discussing pressing matters such as police brutality and the COVID-19 pandemic.  While there was backlash for this chat, it further cemented the Bronx star as much more than a pretty face and performer.
