Halle Bailey Previews Heartfelt Breakup Song After Split from DDG [Video]

Halle Bailey recently took to her Instagram Story to share a snippet of what sounds like a new breakup song.

The preview comes shortly after her split from rapper DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. Their relationship garnered massive attention, with the couple often sharing glimpses of their romance and son, Halo,  on social media.

In the snippet, Bailey sings, “My everything breaking my heart in two.”

It’s unknown if this record is new or something that Bailey previously recorded before the split.  Nevertheless, the timing is certainly interesting.  Their romance recently took a turn in early October, with DDG confirming their split.  While the reasons behind their breakup remain private, Bailey’s new song snippet touches on the emotions of a relationship ending.

Bailey and DDG began dating in early 2022 and made their relationship public in April of that year. The couple quickly became a favorite among fans, frequently posting pictures together and attending events as a duo. Throughout their relationship, they shared many affectionate moments, from playful TikTok videos to heartfelt messages celebrating each other’s achievements. The couple also faced scrutiny from fans, especially regarding Bailey getting pregnant so early in her career.

While details about the song’s full release remain under wraps, Bailey supporters eagerly anticipate its arrival, especially in the context of her recent life changes.  DDG has spoken highly of her in the days since their separation, even maintaining he would only want more children with her. Bailey has kept things private, only breaking her silence in a photo with Halo, captioned “Life is beautiful.”
