Nike is reviving the legendary “Wu-Tang” Dunk High, a sneaker that has achieved almost mythical status among collectors and hip-hop enthusiasts.
Originally launched in 1999, these iconic kicks pay homage to the Wu-Tang Clan, one of the most Iconic hip-hop groups of all time. With their striking Black and Goldenrod colors, they’re instantly recognizable and a must-have for any sneakerhead.
What sets the “Wu-Tang” Dunk High apart is the attention to detail. The lateral heel proudly displays the legendary Wu-Tang logo, and the custom tongue label adds a unique touch of exclusivity. Only 36 pairs were ever made, a nod to the group’s groundbreaking debut 1993 album, “Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).”
Emerging from Staten Island, the Wu-Tang Clan revolutionized hip-hop with its gritty sound and innovative lyrics. The legendary original lineup, RZA, GZA, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, and Masta Killa, possesses an influence that goes beyond music. The Wu-Tang Clan has built a massive legacy, including exploring various business ventures, including fashion. Their collaboration with Nike in 1999 perfectly merged the realms of music and sneaker culture. The group’s clothing line remains a lucrative venture for them as well.
The Nike Dunk High “Wu-Tang” is making its much-anticipated return on November 9th, 2024, at select Nike Sportswear retailers, both in-store and online, for just $150.
