If you’re a sneakerhead who’s been keeping up with the Jordan brand, you know 2025 is expected to be a major year for the shoe company. The iconic label has been preparing for several releases. Among the lineup, the return of the Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” is slated to be released next fall for its 35th anniversary. These sneakers are priced at $210 and will pay homage to the shoe’s 1990 roots.
It’s important to note that there are two original versions of the Fire Red sneakers. One features a reflective tongue with a black midsole, while the the other one has a black fabric tongue and a red midsole. However, this time around it will mimic the latter and is Jordan’s most authentic recreation thus far. The shoe is expected to include the beloved Nike Air on the heel and Jordan’s #23 stamped near the back.

Additionally, alongside the Fire Red sneaker, the lineup also features the Air Jordan 5 “Grape” and the Air Jordan 5 “Black Metallic Reimagined,” promising to deliver that throwback appeal that shoe lovers are craving for. But, what makes the Fire Red stand out is the deep connection it have with Michael Jordan himself. The color scheme captures Jordan’s major moments within his basketball career. Specifically, the black tongue version is a nod to his performance on the court and beyond.
