Kylie Jenner is looking back at her 2019 fallout with Jordyn Woods, and it’s clear that her split from her bestie really hit her hard.
In a recent cover story for ELLE, she opened up about the heartbreak of cutting ties with her longtime friend after the infamous kiss with Khloe’s ex and children’s father, Tristan Thompson.
“I was heartbroken,” Kylie shared, emphasizing that while they took a break, it wasn’t a complete shutdown of their friendship. “We’ve always tried to talk through things, so it’s never been a full cold-turkey cutoff; it was needed distance.”
Before the fallout, Kylie and Jordyn were inseparable. “Anytime something happened, good or bad, I needed to call someone; it would always be her,” Kylie explained. Losing that bond made her feel isolated, but she recognized that the breakup was a necessary step for both of them.
“I learned so much, gained so much independence, and was there for myself,” she said. “It helped me grow up a little bit, because we were so attached at the hip.”
Kylie believes that for them to grow, they both needed to spread their wings and find their own paths.
Now that they’ve reconciled, it’s clear that the experience worked out for the both of them.
