The Dallas Cowboys’ season is virtually over after their 30-24 defeat against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday night. Week by week, it seems as if there’s a new story off the field that is only adding to the distractions and the pressure. This week, it was the lackluster cornerback Trevon Diggs. At the start of the second half, a George Kittle 43-yard gain was complimented with Diggs still guarding his receiver as if the ball had not been thrown.
Mike Leslie of WFAA questioned what Diggs was doing on that play, and with good reason.

Diggs, still in his jersey, seemingly ran straight to social media after the game. He came out, approached Leslie, and told him that he could not do what he does on the football field.
Lately, possibly he could have. Diggs has been lackluster. He has one interception in the season and a 51.4 overall grade, according to Pro Football Focus. He ranks 167th out of 200 players. Leslie wanted to allow the cornerback to talk about it, to which he replied, “Talk about Deez nuts.”
Poor decision-making in real-time in San Francisco last night, there has not been an apology issued yet. However, let’s see how Diggs responds when he has media availability this week.
