New Music Friday is packed with excitement, with new drops across hip-hop and R&B.
After a lengthy hiatus, Lil Uzi Vert has returned with his highly anticipated album, “Eternal Atake 2.” Uzi has been mostly silent since his June 2023 “Pink Tape.” With his return came 16 new tracks, beginning with the intro, “We Good.” Uzi sticks to his rock/rap formula, which was also apparent in the first edition of the “EA” tape. To accompany his latest project, Uzi delivered a video for track number 12, “Chill Bae.”
Next up is Freddie Gibbs. The lyricist released “You Only Die 1nce.” The 13-song package has attracted praise online since it was unveiled at midnight. The tape includes production from Pops, K-Notes, DJ Harrison, and more, who helped curate the almost jazz-like undertones of Gibbs’ refreshing selection.

Jacquees also returned with a mixtape for the grown folks, appropriately titled “Baby Making.” A short listen, this 10-song delivery, the Atlanta sticks to the crooning and begging that R&B was built on.
In addition to new full projects, New Music Friday also blessed music fans with a flurry of singles from Snoop Dogg, Flau’jae, Tyga, and several more of our favorite artists.
