Vice President Kamala Harris addressed the nation Wednesday following her loss in the 2024 presidential race to President-elect Donald Trump. Speaking from her alma mater, Howard University, Harris delivered a powerful and heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude to her supporters and reinforcing her dedication to the causes at the heart of her campaign.

Addressing the transition of power, Harris announced that she had personally congratulated Trump and assured him of a peaceful transfer of power. “A fundamental principle of American democracy is that when we lose an election, we accept the results,” she emphasized.
