On Sunday, Tallahassee celebrated its hometown hero, T-Pain, with a Key to the City and a street dedication.

Mayor John Dailey presented the Grammy-winning artist with the prestigious Key to the City, a symbol of the city’s admiration for his accomplishments and his ongoing efforts to give back. T-Pain, whose real name is Faheem Najm, has long been a source of pride for the city of Tallahassee. Known for his innovative use of Auto-Tune and his genre-blending style, T-Pain has achieved major success in the music world, with numerous chart-topping hits with some of the biggest names in the industry.
The ceremony occurred in the heart of Tallahassee, where Mayor Dailey commended T-Pain for his artistic contributions and positive influence on the community. In a special honor, the city also announced that a street would be named after the artist, cementing his legacy within the city he proudly calls home.
Known for hit songs like “Buy U a Drank,” “Bartender,” and “I’m Sprung,” T-Pain’s influence extends beyond his solo work to collaborations with major artists, including Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and Chris Brown.
