Le’Veon Bell Admits to Facetiming Transwoman, Claims He Was Unaware She Was Born Male and Blocked Her Immediately

Le’Veon Bell directly addressed allegations from a trans sex worker, Alexis Hexx, who claimed he had tried to initiate contact with her, in a lengthy tweet responding to Baller Alert’s article covering the controversy.

While he didn’t outright deny reaching out to her, Bell shared his side of the story, admitting his actions had humiliated his partner but insisting he was unaware Hexx was trans.

“I’m touching on this one time and one time only cuz this DUDE just chasing clout,” Bell began. “First off, I embarrassed my lady because I’m out here in random dm’s when I shouldn’t be… all of this could’ve easily been avoided if I’m just staying solid to my relationship and not in random ‘girls’ dm’s… PERIOD, I AM SO WRONG FOR THAT, and to her, I apologize,” he wrote, suggesting Hexx had exaggerated the situation for attention.

Bell continued, “Now secondly, LYING to make it seem like I slid in your dm, KNOWING I didn’t know you’re a man, should be CRIMINAL… like buddy should real life face jail time tryna pull some sh*t like this. We facetimed, and I INSTANTLY knew right away you were a man and you got BLOCKED… this all happened in NOVEMBER 2023! It’s now NOVEMBER 2024,” he added, sharing a screenshot of their message exchange.

The controversy began when Bell tweeted, “I don’t want my daughter to have to compete or share a locker room with men,” seemingly alluding to debates around trans women in women’s sports. Hexx responded to Bell’s stance by alleging he had previously attempted to connect with her despite his public comments.

Hexx shared a screenshot of a message allegedly from Bell that read, “What’s good?” She claimed the message came to her NSFW Instagram account, where she openly identifies as a trans woman. In response to questions about her motivations, Hexx explained in a video that she spoke out because Bell had made transphobic comments while privately reaching out to her—a version of events that differs significantly from Bell’s account.
