We are past the trade deadline and finally within the double-digit week mark in the NFL season. A week filled with games that didn’t initially promise much excitement ended up delivering, starting with an overtime win for the Carolina Panthers over the New York Giants in Germany.
Bryce Young Leads the Carolina Panthers to Their Second Straight Victory in Germany
Don’t look now, but it appears the Carolina Panthers have found their stride on both sides of the ball following their 20-17 win in Munich, Germany. This marks the final overseas game for the NFL this season. Before the game, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell mentioned that the league aims to host eight international games for the 2025 season.
It’s unlikely the New York Giants will get a return invitation next year; everything that could go wrong did go wrong for them. Two red zone interceptions capped off a dismal day for what is the league’s worst red zone offense, adding more frustration to Daniel Jones’s rough performance. Jones struggled to consistently move the offense, which only deepened the disappointment for New York fans. One bright spot was Tyrone Tracy’s return, as he ran for 103 yards and scored a touchdown.
However, Tracy’s efforts were overshadowed by a career day from running back Chubba Hubbard. Hubbard, who recently signed a four-year extension, proved his worth with 153 yards on 28 attempts and a touchdown. Bryce Young, at one point, completed eight consecutive passes against a cover two defense, showing growing confidence with every snap. Head Coach Dave Canales praised Young, expressing pride in his development. Young ended the game with 15 completions on 25 attempts for 126 yards, one touchdown, and an additional 30 rushing yards on two carries.

The Kansas City Chiefs Stay Undefeated with a Blocked Field Goal
The Kansas City Chiefs continue to find ways to win, leaving NFL Twitter baffled at their ability to escape with victories. Their latest triumph was a gutsy 16-14 win over division rival Denver Broncos, extending their win streak to 15 games dating back to last season. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes finished with 266 passing yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs have become the fifth team to win a Super Bowl and start the following season with nine straight victories. This franchise-record start also featured a Taylor Swift appearance, sending Swifties into a frenzy between her back-to-back tour dates. The Chiefs will face the Buffalo Bills next Sunday.

Jared Goff Throws Five Interceptions, But the Detroit Lions Still Win
The Detroit Lions seem to be pulling off miracles every week, and Sunday night was no different. Jared Goff had a rough outing, throwing five interceptions over three quarters. Despite being down ten points at the start of the fourth, Goff managed to rally, leading the Lions down the field for a game-winning drive. Kicker Jake Bates sealed the deal with a 52-yard field goal, keeping his perfect season intact at 14-for-14 on attempts.
Everything seems to be going right for the Lions. Meanwhile, the Houston Texans put up a solid fight. Rookie quarterback CJ Stroud emerged from a month-long slump, showing promising signs of improvement. With lead receiver Nico Collins set to return next week, the Texans, sitting at 6-3, are hopeful for what’s ahead.
The Detroit Lions will host the Jacksonville Jaguars next week. Former quarterback Robert Griffin III praised Goff’s resilience, noting that his rollercoaster night ended on a high note. Check out his tweet below.
Won the game. Lost the MVP. But I’m sure Jared Goff will be okay with a Super Bowl ring. For him to make that many mistakes and they still win the game, means the Detroit Lions have everything they need to win the Super Bowl. TOTAL TEAM in all phases. https://t.co/4nUjbceBTe
