Kehlani is setting the record straight after wild rumors about her relationship with her daughter hit social media.
The drama started when her ex, Javaughn Young-White, filed legal documents in their ongoing custody battle, claiming that Kehlani “believes our daughter’s spirit was one of Kehlani’s wives in a past life.”
After receiving backlash from fans following the docs surfacing, Kehlani took to Instagram to clear things up, calling the accusations “heartbreaking” and flat-out denying the bizarre claim.
She said, “As a person that has always gotten little readings here and there, I was connected to an older woman for a ‘past life’ reading. I shared what I considered to be a lighthearted recap with my child’s father, laughing at it & considering it something light & not to be taken serious.”
Kehlani continued, “To have those screenshots then doctored, the rest of messages left out, to make me seem like I consider myself to be in an inappropriate relationship with my DAUGHTER… is the most heartbreak[ing] thing I’ve ever fucking heard.”
She didn’t hold back, adding, “I’ve been silent, I’ve taken the public beating. I’ve been addressing all of these things where I should, in COURT. I’ve sat there and watched the public only have access to ONE SIDE of things. But THIS is where I absolutely draw the line.”
Kehlani ended the post by making it crystal clear: “[I] do NOT, and have NEVER considered myself in any sort of inappropriate relationship with my child. The rest of these absolutely monstrous allegations are being addressed in court. Thank you.”
The drama between Kehlani and Young-White has been escalating since he filed a paternity petition in August, but Kehlani’s message is clear and she’s done with the false narratives.
