In a recent conversation with Pastor Jamal Bryant, Ray J opened up about his lively Instagram Live session with Nicki Minaj, offering more insight into their viral exchange.

Describing the experience, Ray J said, “When Nicki and I talked, it felt like character to character—I felt like I was in some kind of, like, dominatrix skit.” He then humorously asked, “Is dominatrix a sin?” before laughing and moving on with the story. He admitted that the interaction left a lasting impression on him, adding, “I’m not gonna even lie. I think about it every day.”

Ray J emphasized the respect he has for Nicki and her marital status, explaining, “Again, she is a married woman. I made it my point to every time I addressed her on the interview, it was Mrs. Petty. I was never on no junkie stuff like that.” Despite the playful nature of their conversation, Ray J noted that some of Nicki’s words “left me stuck,” admitting that he hasn’t quite been the same since.
