Tina Knowles is calling out Candace Owens for spreading a false claim that Beyoncé was paid $10 million to speak at a Kamala Harris campaign rally.
Knowles reshared a post about Owens discussing Beyoncé’s alleged payday, which had a “false information” warning attached. The hairstylist and designer pointed out that despite fact-checkers debunking the claims, the story continued to circulate online about her superstar daughter.
“So this has been flagged on Instagram as fake news and taken down. It’s called False Information. Sadly, other platforms with a lack of integrity still have it up. The lie is that Beyoncé was paid 10 million dollars to speak at a rally in Houston for Vice President Kamala Harris. When in fact, Beyoncé did not receive a penny for speaking at a Presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris’s rally in Houston,” Knowles wrote.
Owens has also accused other celebrities, including Cardi B, of being compensated by Harris’ campaign to help boost her chances of winning office. Like Mama Tina, Cardi denied this accusation, stating that she paid for her own accommodations to and from the event.
While Queen Bey has stayed silent on the allegations made by Owens and other Republicans, as she typically does, Mama Tina is much less inclined to let such claims slide.
“They are not only lying and disrespecting Beyoncé’s name, but they are trying to further discredit the power of our vice president! When do the lies and rumors stop? Of course, you won’t see this in the news!!!!!”
