Finesse2Tymes sat down with the Baller Alert Show to discuss his upcoming project Art of War, his transformative journey since prison, and the challenges of adapting to life outside. Hosted by Ferrari Simmons and BT, the interview discussed everything from mental and spiritual growth to personal relationships and his evolving career in music.

The Meaning Behind Art of War

Set to release on November 22, Art of War is more than an album for Finesse2Tymes—it’s a reflection of his life lessons and strategies for survival. Inspired by the renowned military treatise by Sun Tzu, the project symbolizes his mental, spiritual, and emotional battles.

“I came across The Art of War while I was in the hole during my five-year prison sentence,” Finesse shared. “That book shaped how I navigate life. It’s about strategy, morals, and principles—not just physical warfare, but mental and spiritual too. It helped me survive isolation and grow as a person.”

He even brought signed copies of the book to the show, highlighting its importance in his journey.

Isolation as a Weapon

Finesse2Tymes opened up about his time in solitary confinement, where he spent over a year with no outside communication and limited resources. “Isolation became my weapon,” he explained. “I stopped calling on God to fix my problems and started learning what God wanted me to know. That’s when I started reading books like The 48 Laws of Power, Behold a Pale Horse, and The Art of War.”

He emphasized how reading gave him the tools to navigate his internal battles, helping him cope with the transition from incarceration to freedom.

Personal Battles and Baby Drama

The rapper got candid about his struggles with relationships, revealing how his limited experience with women led to emotional challenges, including a recent situation involving baby drama.

“I thought I got someone pregnant, and it turned out I didn’t,” he shared. “That crushed me because I’m loyal by nature. But it taught me a valuable lesson about trust and being careful with who I let into my life.”

Finesse explained how these experiences inspired the themes in Art of War, which explores loyalty, respect, and the emotional struggles of rebuilding his life.

Growth, Gratitude, and Vulnerability

The interview highlighted Finesse’s personal and artistic growth. Ferrari and BT noted how much he has evolved since their first interview. Finesse admitted he’s still adjusting to life after prison, but he’s committed to improving himself and his relationships.

“I’ve only been out for two years,” he said. “I’m still learning how to be a father, how to deal with life’s pressures, and how to make smarter decisions. But I’m grateful for the journey. The next project will show even more growth.”

Big Moves and Bigger Jewelry

Known for his flashy lifestyle, Finesse also talked about his jewelry collection, revealing he’s spent over $700,000 on custom pieces. From his $225,000 chain to a $200,000 charm, he joked, “I’m almost done with my jewelry phase.”

He also teased his upcoming single “Hard to Believe” and its accompanying music video, which was shot on an army base with tanks, promising fans his best visual yet.

Words of Wisdom for Fans

Before leaving, Finesse shared a powerful pep talk for anyone facing mental or emotional struggles.

“Take time to isolate yourself and read,” he advised. “Give yourself 30 minutes a day to focus on your mind. Highlight the parts of books that resonate with you and revisit them when you need clarity. Isolation doesn’t have to be a punishment—it can be a weapon for growth.”

What’s Next?

With Art of War dropping November 22, Finesse2Tymes is ready to show the world how far he’s come. Whether it’s through his music, personal reflections, or undeniable grind, his story is one of resilience, strategy, and growth. Don’t miss the project, and stay tuned for what’s next from this evolving artist.
