After offering a sneak peek last month, Willow Smith and Moncler’s highly anticipated collab has arrived, and yes, it is worth every penny.
Willow, an artist celebrated for her infinite creativity, has taken her dramatic flair to new heights in this overdramatic collaboration that reimagines Moncler’s iconic “duvet” puffer jackets. One standout piece is the Iali Leather Bomber Jacket, priced at $5,360. The “punk style” bomber is made of genuine leather with impressive logo patchwork. Another piece, which also happens to be the least expensive in the collection at just $345, is the Wool Beanie, available in both white and black.
“Bringing juxtaposing ideas together in an elegant way is something that really excites me, and I wanted to explore that in this collection,” Willow shared about this line.
The Moncler x Willow Smith line was first unveiled in October at The City of Genius during Shanghai Fashion Week. In addition to Willow’s risk-taking style, her designs also reflect her love for wilderness.
“I’m incredibly passionate about the outdoors and exploring this magnificent earth,” Willow revealed. “I imagine these clothes effortlessly transitioning from nighttime camping to high-fashion evening wear.”
Another small detail that showcases Willow’s involvement with the line is the reimagined Moncler logo, which features an inverted “W” entwined with the brand’s classic “M. ” The design is punctuated by silver hardware reminiscent of her signature piercings.
