The holidays have just gotten a lot saucier as McDonald’s is celebrating the return of the beloved McRib sandwich by also introducing a half-gallon jug of barbeque sauce.
This limited-edition McRib sauce is priced at $19.99 and is perfect for McRib lovers or anyone looking to spice up their holiday menu. The sweet and tangy condiment debuted on November 25th and will surely be featured in holiday parties or family gatherings.
Since premiering on McDonald’s menu, the McRib has become a cultural staple in fast food. Known for its restructured pork patty slathered in barbeque sauce, the sandwich has stolen the hearts of BBQ lovers worldwide. In a recent statement, McDonald’s Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer Tariq Hassan summed up the sandwich as a “phenomenon.”
“The McRib is more than just a sandwich—it’s a cultural phenomenon. This year, we wanted to give fans an even bigger way to celebrate,” Hassan said.
Additionally, as if that wasn’t enough, McDonald’s is also releasing an anthem to mark the occasion. The holiday tune, “It Could Only Mean One Thing (McRib Is Here),” is set to hit streaming platforms soon, adding some sauce to your holiday playlists.
