Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor and model-entrepreneur Draya Michele are locked in a bitter legal battle over a luxury Los Angeles property tied to their former relationship. The dispute stems from a verbal agreement Michele claims the pair made while dating, with allegations of broken promises, eviction attempts, and substantial financial contributions adding fuel to the fire.
According to court documents filed by Michele on November 26, Taylor sent officers to evict her and her three children from the home while she was away on a business trip. Michele alleges the property, which Taylor purchased in 2022 during their relationship, was meant to be sold to her for $3.2 million under terms they verbally agreed upon.
“On 11/20/2024, Ms. Howard received an alarming phone call from her children’s nanny while she was away on a business trip that the sheriffs were at the Subject Property to lock the occupants out,” the document read.
The latest filing comes months after Michele sued Taylor in June for breach of contract. She claimed that while the two were dating, Taylor verbally agreed to sell her the home for $3.2 million. Michele alleged she contributed $300,000 toward home improvements and mortgage payments, with the understanding that those funds would be credited toward the agreed-upon purchase price.
The lawsuit further claims Taylor countered Michele’s initial offer of $2.8 million with a higher price and later threatened to evict her and her children when the relationship ended. Michele, who shares two children from previous relationships and a newborn daughter with NBA player Jalen Green, said Taylor’s actions were unexpected and destabilizing for her family.
Taylor, 35, has not publicly commented on the situation. The quarterback, who joined the Jets this year on a two-year deal, has had limited playing time, appearing in just one game this season.
The pair began dating in 2020 but called it quits in 2023. Michele, 39, is now in a new relationship with Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green, with whom she welcomed a daughter earlier this year.
