Jacquees Opens Up About Trey Songz Altercation [Video]

In a recent interview, Jacquees sat down with the hosts of ‘The Breakfast Club‘ and addressed the heated altercation earlier this year with Trey Songz while the two were in Dubai. At the time, the incident left room open for speculation since the details had not been revealed until now.

Reflecting on the situation, the 30-year-old admitted that he regrets taking the situation to the internet. “I think the biggest mistake I ever made in my career was going on the internet talking about Trey Songz. That was the biggest mistake I ever made in my life as a man and everything.”

Even though the two men had been friends for a while before their scuffle, Jacquees claimed that Trigger Trey was “trippin'” the night the situation occurred.

“N*ggas gotta hit sometimes,” he explained. “We friends, but it was just one of them nights, the n*gga got to trippin’ in my opinion…I just regret taking it to the internet.”

Despite the turmoil, Jacquees clarified that he was completely sober and remembered every detail from the night. “I wasn’t drunk, I wasn’t lit,” he said. Additionally, the singer confirmed that he threw the initial punch and confessed that he was shocked at Songz fighting skills. To add in more context, Jacquees stated that he hit Songz twice which resulted in a punch from the “Bottoms Up” hitmaker. This led to Jacquees attempting to grab Songz, who then pulled on the singer’s dreads before the fight was quickly broken up.

If you’re unaware, earlier this year, the “B.E.D” artist took to social media to call out Songz after claiming that the singer came into the club “talking about rape,” before he threw a punch at him, which contradicts his statement on ‘The Breakfast Club.’

“I want the world to know this b*tch a** n*gga Trey Songz is a b*tch, period,” Jacquees said at the time. “This n*gga came in the club talking about rape. The f*ck you talking about rape for, b*tch a** n*gga? Then you come outside the club and swing on your little brother. You a b*tch. Chris Brown the G.O.A.T.”

He continued, “About a b*ch that ain’t even my b*tch? You talking about b*tches that’s with these n*ggas? The workers? Aye man, f*ck you, b*tch a** n*gga. You a rapist b*tch And I don’t give a f*ck if you tell anybody anything about what we texted. Put the messages on there—f*ck you, b*tch a** n*gga. You can never come around me.”
