Cardi B Reflects on Her Sophomore Album: “I Really Got Some Pain on This Album” [Video]

Cardi B has dropped more insight into what her sophomore album will sound like and there might be some revelations in her music.

Known for turn-up tunes such as “Bodak Yellow” and “WAP,” Cardi says her highly anticipated follow-up will shed light on her current feelings. 

“I really got some pain on this album,” she captioned a muted clip of her in the studio.

It’s unclear what subjects Cardi may address in her upcoming music, though her personal life has given her plenty of material. The Bronx star is currently embroiled in a nasty divorce battle with Migos rapper Offset. She has also opened up about her postpartum struggles since giving birth in September. Additionally, she has long been the subject of scrutiny for failing to release a project following her 2018 breakout project, “Invasion of Privacy.” 

Fans were disappointed to learn that Cardi had pushed back her album date yet again after promising to release it this year. She recently went off after several of her fans criticized a snippet of an old unreleased song she worked on. Many didn’t care for the record, causing Cardi to go off in a Twitter Space. 

It’s unclear what month Cardi will release her album.  However, it’s sure to be a bestseller.
