Joe Burrow Speaks Out About Privacy Concerns After Break-In at His Home [Video]

During the Monday Night Football game in Dallas, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s home in Anderson Township was broken into, according to the sheriff’s report. This marks the sixth break-in involving an NFL player in the last three months and the third to occur while the player was participating in a Monday Night Football game.

Burrow, known for maintaining his privacy throughout his career, addressed the incident before his mid-week press conference, opening with a statement about the break-in.

“So obviously, everybody has heard what has happened,” Burrow began. “I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one, and way more is already out there than I would want or care to share. So that’s all I’ve got to say about that.”

The break-in has been a hot topic locally, given Burrow’s status as the most important player on the Bengals team. ABC News obtained a copy of the incident report, and drone footage of his home following the incident has surfaced.

“We live a public life,” Burrow said. “One of my least favorite parts of that is the lack of privacy, and that has been difficult for me to deal with my entire career.”

As the Bengals sit at 5-8 and Burrow continues to recover from a knee injury, this incident adds insult to injury in what has been a disappointing season for both the quarterback and Bengals fans. The break-in is being investigated as a felony.

The FBI has also taken notice of the recent trend of targeted burglaries involving notable players, including Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, whose homes were broken into last month.
