The singer, known for his smooth vocals and hits like “Night and Day,” shared the news during a recent performance expressing gratitude for the upcoming project and for the opportunity to shed light on his near-death experience.
“This time, little by little, I was deep in a coma. I guess we’re going to have to watch Fifty’s movie to find out what happened…It’s going to be beautiful,” he told the crowd.
In 2022, Al B. Sure was placed in a two-month medically induced coma after collapsing. In December of that year, he claimed that he received a new liver after doctors were exploring possibly putting him in hospice care.
“I have what’s called ‘Chevron,’ that’s when they cut your chest open which is probably the first time I was actually talking about it…[I’m a] recipient of an amazing blessed new liver — and you know I’m going to treat it well,” he told FOX New York.
However, fans were shocked when the artist later suggested foul play may have been involved. While specific claims remain unconfirmed, Al B. Sure has vowed to uncover the truth about the circumstances surrounding his condition. In the years since his medical emergency, he has even accused Diddy of having something to do with the coma and even the death of Kim Porter, whom both men share children with.
50 Cent, celebrated for his success in music and television, reportedly found the story compelling enough to bring it to the screen. Known for storytelling in hits like “Power” and “BMF,” the rapper-turned-producer aims to explore the darker aspects of Al B. Sure’s journey.
It’s unknown when the movie will be released or what evidence they have gathered.
