In what has become a grim new normal, Diddy is facing yet another rape allegation, this one stemming from an alleged incident in December 1991.
The accuser, identified only as Jane Doe, claims the assault occurred at a charity basketball event at City College of New York, co-sponsored by a young Sean “Diddy” Combs, who still went by Puffy at that time.
According to the lawsuit documents, obtained by TMZ, Jane Doe and a friend were invited by an artist scheduled to appear at the event. After convincing security to let them in early due to the unruly crowd, they were directed to a gym locker room where Combs had set up a makeshift dressing room. Doe alleges that, after asking Combs for help finding her rapper friend, he offered her a drink, which he claimed was Coca-Cola. She says she felt disoriented after sipping it, and when she tried to leave, the Bad Boy founder blocked her.
The suit, filed by controversial attorney Tony Buzbee, alleges Combs began fondling himself and forcibly assaulted her despite her resistance. Jane Doe claims she later threatened to tell her rapper friend, prompting Combs to warn her, saying, “People can come up missing.”
The accuser says she and her friend fled amid a stampede caused by the oversold event, which tragically left nine people dead and many injured. The headliner was Heavy D, who was signed to Uptown Records, where Combs got his start. It’s unknown if he was the man who invited the women to the event.
Diddy’s representatives have not responded to the new allegations.
