Funk Flex is confident that Tory Lanez is innocent despite his ten-year conviction stemming from the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.

Much of the rap community and fans remain divided over Lanez’s guilt in the shocking 2020 incident, despite his conviction and multiple failed appeals. Funk Flex recently weighed in, claiming the “Say It” singer is innocent.

“Tory Lanez, I do believe he’s innocent. It’s not what they’re saying it is,” he shared during part of his recent livestream.

His stance echoes sentiments held by some fans who question the case’s narrative. Meanwhile, Megan Thee Stallion continues to push back. In the past weeks, her legal team filed a restraining order against Lanez and sued blogger Milagro Gramz for misinformation and emotional distress, citing alleged payments from Lanez’s camp to Gramz.

Despite his incarceration, Lanez remains active in the music world. His song “The Color Violet” recently surpassed a billion streams on Spotify without major label backing. Still, the courts have upheld the original conviction, reinforcing Megan’s account. Therefore, it doesn’t appear the Toronto artist will be coming home anytime soon to celebrate this victory.

He continues to maintain his innocence, with his legal team claiming that Megan Thee Stallion lied about key factors of the case.
