Soldier in Cybertruck Blast Left Behind Note Detailing Motive: "This Was Not a Terrorist Attack, It Was a Wake-Up Call"

The man behind the deadly Cybertruck blast reportedly left behind a note before taking his own life.

Matthew Livelsberger, a Green Beret soldier, detonated a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, claiming the act was driven by his struggle with PTSD. The Clark County Nevada Sheriff’s Department recently shared part of Livelsberger’s letter, revealing his motive was not to harm others.

“This was not a terrorist attack, it was a wake-up call. Americans only pay attention to spectacles and violence. What better way to get my point across than a stunt with fireworks and explosives?” the note read.

Livelsberger continued, explaining his reasoning for the timing of the explosion, suggesting he was plagued with guilt from his actions in the military.

“Why did I personally do it now? I needed to cleanse my mind of the brothers I’ve lost and relieve myself of the burden of the lives I took,” he added.

Interestingly, despite his support for Donald Trump, Livelsberger used an Elon Musk vehicle in his protest. He slammed the incoming administration and warned others not to trust them.

“Fellow service members, Veterans, and all Americans, TIME TO WAKE UP! We are being led by weak and feckless leadership who only serve to enrich themselves,” the troubled man wrote.

He also warned, “Right now we are eternally ill and headed towards collapse.”

Moments before the explosion, officials confirmed that Livelsberger took his own life with a gunshot, which exited through the left side of his head. It’s unclear where authorities located the letter after his death.

Livelsberger was a decorated Army veteran who served in Afghanistan and Central Asia.
