President-elect Donald Trump has made his stance clear following his sentencing in the controversial hush money case. Taking to Truth Social, Trump lashed out at his political opponents, denouncing the trial as a politically motivated “witch hunt” and reiterating his claims of innocence.
In a lengthy and impassioned post, Trump accused Democrats of orchestrating a smear campaign against him. “The Radical Democrats have lost another pathetic, unAmerican Witch Hunt,” he began. He went on to criticize what he called the “Biden/Harris Department of Injustice” for their role in the case and described the legal proceedings as “illegal and fake charges.”
Trump emphasized that he was given an “unconditional discharge,” which he claims is evidence that there was never a valid case against him. He labeled the trial as “a despicable charade” and vowed to appeal, promising to restore trust in America’s justice system.
The former president also turned his attention to broader political implications, claiming that the case represents “criminal Election Interference” and asserting that the American people had already rendered their verdict by re-electing him “with an overwhelming mandate.”
Trump’s statement doubled down on his criticism of the judge and star witness in the case. He referred to the witness as a “disbarred, disgraced, serial perjurer” and called the judge “highly conflicted.”
Trump concluded his statement with a call to action: “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
