YSL Mondo is doubling down on his thoughts about Gunna but admits he may have gone too far in his interview with DJ Vlad.
The rapper says he stands by his belief that working with police in any capacity is a “rat” move, but regrets airing it all out publicly. He told Vlad he should’ve handled the situation in private and reached out to Gunna directly to talk things over “man to man.” Additionally, he mentioned how Kenneth “Lil Woody” Copeland was the one he should’ve directed his anger toward.
“If you told, you told. But I just felt like, it’s n***as like Woody, who is a full-fledged rat, who literally sat in the interrogation room and told and said s**t for hours. Got on the stand, did a lot of s**t,” he explained. “I’m supposed to be bashing Woody like this. I apologize on that end.”
Mondo says he and Gunna spoke via social media. The “Bachelor” star expressed his disappointment in Mondo for blasting him. Still, it’s not about hate, the Atlanta artist explained. Instead, it’s about disappointment. His frustration stems from feeling like Gunna prioritized getting out of jail over the bigger picture, especially when it came to the people, such as Young Thug, who remained caught up in legal battles.
Only time will tell if Mondo and Gunna can put their differences aside, but for now, the tension remains.
