Amazon is ending its “Try Before You Buy” service, which allowed Prime members to try on clothes, shoes, and accessories at home before making a purchase.
The service will officially wrap up on January 31, and after that, no more try-ons.
Amazon says it’s making the move to simplify the shopping experience, offering a wider selection and faster delivery.
However, free returns will still be available for apparel, so you can send stuff back if it doesn’t work out.
Amazon first began testing its “Try Before You Buy” offering under the name Prime Wardrobe in 2017, and it officially launched in 2018.
After several years of giving it a go, Amazon is shifting gears.
