Blueface Reportedly Struggled for the First Eight Months Behind Bars: “Homeboy Wouldn’t Come Out for Showers” [Video]

Since January 2024, Blueface has been serving time behind bars, eventually being sentenced to four years in prison for violating his probation in a California assault case. Adjusting to prison life isn’t an easy transition for some and it seems to have been a struggle for Blueface as well.

Audio footage recently surfaced online of a fellow inmate who allegedly shared a cell with the “Thotiana” rapper for eight months while in the L.A. County Jail. In the clip, the unknown man details his experience with Blueface and claims that he struggled during this period. He recounted that the star felt stressed and cried often during phone calls, adding that Blueface began to skip showers and get pimples on his face.

“Sat right here with him for eight months, he just went to prison last week on Thursday. He was over here all stressed, crying on the phone,” the inmate said. “Homeboy wouldn’t come out for showers. He was just like on some dirtbag s**t. He like shaved his head. He went to prison and had a bunch of pimples on his face. ‘I’m like damn, wash your face gang.”

Adding context to the video, Blueface’s mother Karlissa, took to the comment section under the audio clip to address the claims. She explained that her son has suffered from acne for a while now and often relies on certain products to manage his skin. According to her, the prison environment and the lack of healthy skin care products are the reason for the pimples, and dismissed the rest of the inmate’s allegations as “hearsay.”

“He’s suffered from acne since high school,” she wrote. “He uses very good products and has to have his sheets washed regularly with gentle soaps. I’m sure his environment is causing his skin issues. And anyone who goes to jail is not happy to be there. Especially away from their children. Thanks for the prayers and not the lies and gossip.”

Despite the claims, there have been signs of Blueface working towards staying positive while behind bars. Earlier this year, his father shared a video on social media of the rapper playing basketball in the prison yard. In more recent news, Blueface’s alleged wife Chrisean Rock, announced that the rapper has reopened his restaurant in California even though he is still currently fighting for his freedom.
