It seems as though “Real Housewives of Potomac” star Mia Thornton‘s romance with Incognito has ended. Recently, Thornton sat down with Andy Cohen for ‘Watch What Happens Live’ to share the details surrounding their split.
According to Thornton, the breakup boiled down to Incognito’s professional priorities. She explained that her former boo, who is a seasoned radio personality with roughly two decades of experience, felt like the ‘RHOP’ association clashed with his carefully built reputation.
“Inc has worked really, really hard for his reputation and his career,” Thornton shared. “He’s 20 years in as a syndication radio personality, and he feels as though this platform doesn’t align with his brand.”
She continued, “I respect that and he will forever be my best friend. Are we exclusive and are we dating? No. It’s fine.”
However, the conversation took a drastic turn when ‘Married To Medicine’ star Quad Webb questioned the timing of their relationship. Almost immediately, Thornton went into defense mode and explained that the timing of their relationship overlapped with her still being married to Gordon Thornton.
“To his defense, I need to get a divorce first. I need to get a divorce first,” she added. “So we’re going to work on that, we’re going to focus on [Gordon] and the kids.”
Thornton and Incognito’s romance has been a hot topic of discussion for ‘RHOP’ fans. The two, who were high school sweethearts, rekindled their fling while Thornton was in the midst of a divorce from Gordon. However, while their reunion was sweet, it was also not without controversy. According to Thornton, her history with Gordon is much more complicated than what fans might think. In fact, the overlapping of her relationships with Gordon and Incognito led to questions about the paternity of her son, Jeremiah. As a result, Gordon took a DNA test to confirm that he was the father of Jeremiah. But, unfortunately Thornton remains skeptical of the results.
But, nonetheless, Thornton is hopeful for the future of her relationship with Incognito saying, “He’s not going anywhere. What’s meant to be is forever.”
