Wendy Williams is taking matters into her own hands.
After months of fighting to get out of her conservatorship, she’s fired her attorney, Linda Redlisky.
According to TMZ, the move comes after Redlisky reportedly failed to file the paperwork for Wendy’s desired jury trial that could decide if she still needs a guardianship.
Williams has been vocal about wanting the chance to prove she doesn’t need the legal supervision, but her former lawyer didn’t back that request.
This latest development follows Wendy’s family searching for a new “esteemed and honest” lawyer to help her regain control of her life.
Williams, who’s been living in an assisted-living facility in New York City, has been outspoken about the feeling of being trapped in what she called a “luxury prison.”
She’s also claimed she’d never even met her guardianship attorney, Robert Kaplan, who has insisted that she needs lifelong care because of her diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia and aphasia.
Wendy’s fight for freedom continues, with her now looking for a new legal team to help her get back to the life she wants.
