Claressa Shields did it again.
On Sunday night in her hometown of Flint, Michigan, she defeated Danielle Perkins to become the first undisputed women’s heavyweight champion in boxing history.
She also remains undefeated at 16-0 and is now the only boxer ever to be undisputed in three different weight classes.
Shields stepped into the ring with a shoulder injury, but she controlled the fight, outclassing Perkins before knocking her down in the final round. The judges gave her the unanimous decision.
At just 29 years old, Shields has already achieved legendary status. It’s clear that she is the GWOAT (Greatest Woman of All Time), and she’s not slowing down.
