What’s better than one mustard? Two.
HEINZ and Grammy-winning producer Mustard have finally teamed up for a collaboration fans have been calling for.
As part of the partnership, Mustard has been named HEINZ’s first-ever Chief Mustard Officer, where he’ll create a limited-edition mustard flavor alongside the brand.
“This collab coming to life is a big deal and something that has been decades in the making for me,” Mustard said. “Everyone knows me for my beats and sound, but what they don’t know is that cooking and grilling is a huge part of my life. I’m on the grill every chance I get. I’ve been using HEINZ since I was a kid, so partnering with them is something I’ve always wanted to do.”
Mustard’s love for HEINZ is well known—he even owns a diamond-encrusted HEINZ Mustard chain. Now, he’s playing a direct role in crafting a new mustard blend that reflects his taste and creativity.
To mark the launch, HEINZ released a short film remixing one of its classic ketchup ads, featuring Mustard’s viral “MUSTAAAAAAAAAARRRD” soundbite and a sneak peek at the upcoming sauce.
Todd Kaplan, North American Chief Marketing Officer for Kraft Heinz, spoke about the partnership, saying, “Much like HEINZ, Mustard is someone who goes all in when he creates something. He has brought that same energy to this collaboration, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.”
With more details expected in the coming months, fans will have to wait a little longer to see exactly what Mustard and HEINZ have been cooking up.
