Jordan initially attempted to free the car by pressing the gas, but the tires spun in place. As officers noticed signs of intoxication, including slurred speech and unsteady balance, they opted not to assist and instead asked to pat him down.
“Bro,” Jordan told one officer. “I’m Marcus Jordan. I’m Michael Jordan’s son. I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m just trying to get home. And I made a wrong turn. OK?” He added, “Clearly, we would just like to get our car off of the f**king train tracks which we were not trying to be on.”
Officers eventually searched Jordan, finding a baggie of white powder that later tested positive for cocaine. Growing agitated, Jordan told officers the only things they’d find in his pants were a “big d**k and some big balls.”
He resisted getting into the patrol car, demanding officers “chill the f**k out,” before finally being transported to jail. He was booked on charges of DUI, cocaine possession, and resisting arrest without violence. It’s unclear if his female passenger was also arrested.
Marcus has not spoken publicly about the incident, and neither has his father.
