Rapper YG is kicking off his 2025 with some great news, as his DUI case has just been dropped.

The “Go Loko” star was facing a misdemeanor DUI charge after an October 2024 incident in Burbank, California. In case you forgot, on October 1st, police spotted YG after he had accidentally driven over a curb. When officers arrived, they found him standing outside his vehicle. Though no breathalyzer test was administered, they did take a blood sample before booking him for the misdemeanor DUI.

Thankfully for him, on Wednesday, February 5th, it was confirmed that the Burbank City Attorney’s Office rejected the case due to insufficient evidence. YG’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, who ironically also represents A$AP Rocky, explained that the case was dismissed largely because YG “was not in his car when police pulled up on him.”

This is just the latest legal troubles that YG has put behind him. In May 2022, charges related to a 2018 robbery were dismissed, with the Compton performer reportedly settling the matter out of court with the alleged victim.

With this mishap now a thing of the past, YG has much to look forward to, preparing to join Freddie Gibbs and WWE’s CM Punk in the upcoming horror flick, “Night Patrol.” The movie is due out later this year.
