Moses claims that her writing skills earned her a whopping $5 million from penning Christina Milian’s hit single “Dip It Low.” In a recent interview with Touré, Moses explained the impressive earnings, revealing, “I made five million on one song.” She elaborated on how she managed to secure such a substantial amount, saying, “It’s because I own 100%… it’s 200%—it’s weird in publishing. 100% publisher, 100% writer. I own my publishing too.”
Moses also credited her sister for helping her avoid publishing expenses, stating, “My sister learned how to administer publishing so I didn’t have to pay somebody else to administer publishing.”
Released as the lead single from Milian’s 2004 album “It’s About Time,” “Dip It Low” became Milian’s most successful song, peaking at #5 on both the U.S. and U.K. Billboard Hot 100 charts. The track was nominated for a Grammy Award and certified gold.
Some of Moses’ biggest records of her own include, “Be Your Girl,” “Feels Good,” and “With All My Heart.”
