Michael B. Jordan is standing by his Creed III costar Jonathan Majors despite the actor’s legal troubles. In a new GQ cover story, Jordan, 38, praised Majors for his resilience and confirmed he’d work with him again.
“But he’s doing great, just got engaged,” Jordan said, referring to Majors’ recent engagement to Meagan Good. “I’m proud of his resilience and his strength through it all… I’m glad he’s good. That’s my boy.”
Jordan and Majors developed a close friendship while filming Creed III, with Majors often calling Jordan his “brother.” Even after Majors’ legal issues, Jordan showed support by sharing the trailer for Majors’ upcoming film, Magazine Dreams, on Instagram.
Majors’ career took a major hit after his March 2023 arrest for an alleged domestic dispute with ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. In December 2023, he was convicted of misdemeanor assault and harassment and sentenced to a domestic violence treatment program. The conviction led to his firing from Marvel, where he was set to play Kang the Conqueror.
However, in November 2024, Jabbari dropped her civil lawsuit against Majors, dismissing all claims “with prejudice.” Despite the controversy, Jordan’s public support suggests he believes Majors deserves another chance.
With Magazine Dreams set for release and Jordan in his corner, Majors’ Hollywood comeback may still be possible.
