Cam’ron has no interest in JAY-Z’s Roc Nation Brunch, and he made that clear on a new episode of Talk With Flee.

While speaking on Gillie Da Kid’s Club Shay Shay interview, where Gillie said he avoids the brunch because everyone is fake, Cam made it clear that he doesn’t agree. However, he has his own reasons for skipping the event. After mentioning he’s not been invited, Cam went on to say, “I done records with JAY-Z. I was actually signed to JAY-Z’s company. I actually had a joint venture with JAY-Z and Def Jam. It’s not a big deal for me to be around JAY-Z or Juan,” Cam said.
For him, the event just doesn’t appeal. “It’s not really a big deal for me to be around a bunch of men ’cause it be a little scatter of bitches at that shit and then it’s a bunch of men,” he explained. “Secondly, you got a bunch of people just hanging out taking pictures. Not to piggyback off of Gillie’s shit at all […] but end of the day, why am I going to see n-ggas I seen 100 times and then it’s really nothing to talk about? Is it a great tool for new younger artists? Absolutely.”
Cam gave JAY-Z his props, saying, “He’s got super duper motivational music.” But as far as trying to build a relationship at the brunch? That’s just not his vibe. “We never had that relationship and I’m not gonna go to a brunch to try and have that relationship then.”
And for those wondering what would change his mind, only Rihanna.
“I would respectfully turn down [an invitation],” he said. “Not to be rude, but what are we getting out of it? And I don’t mean money-wise. I mean opportunity. I go to brunch in Harlem and get 26 bitches to leave with me. Rihanna ain’t leaving me from that joint – not in front of everybody. No disrespect to Rihanna ’cause she’s married to A$AP now, but when she was hanging out and single.”
At the end of the day, Cam’ron isn’t into forced industry connections, and if he’s going to a brunch, it’s gonna be one where he’s the main event.
