Ex-NFL star Brandon Marshall may be single again, but he’s certainly not out testing the waters.

During a recent chat with “Swaggy Sie, The Encore,” he revealed that he has been celibate for nearly a year. Despite two slip-ups, Marshall says he’s dedicated to his journey and is saving himself for Mrs. Right.

“I’m waiting for my wife. I’m waiting for my lady. You know what I’m saying? Like, I know how spiritual that is and like what I’m called to do…Now I know through my walk and my, you know, believing in God and Jesus, I know how valuable I am,” he explained.

Marshall was previously married to Michi Nogami, though it seems the pair parted ways a while ago. While he has not shared what caused their relationship to break down, Marshall is now looking toward his future. This includes acknowledging his self-worth.

“Men, we don’t appreciate ourselves. We just give it to everybody. And like for me, I’m like, Nah. So I’m waiting,” he added.

Marshall has been the subject of criticism over the years, especially after his “I Am Athlete” podcast fell apart after Fred Taylor and Channing Crowder left the show. Since then, Marshall’s professional and financial woes have made headlines, including a multi-million-dollar foreclosure case. Thankfully, he appears to be in a much more peaceful place in his life.
